It’s been taking me longer than I’d hoped to deliver photos lately—and I want to share the heart behind that pause.
Nearly nine years ago, I picked up a camera because of my oldest daughter. I was chasing the little moments—the ones that slip through your fingers before you even realize they’re gone. The quiet ones. The golden ones. I needed a way to hold on.
That same instinct is what draws me to live music. The fleeting, electric beauty of it all. One chord, one lyric, one second—and then it’s gone. But a photograph can tether it to something lasting.
And yet, the people who first inspired me to see life this way—my kids—are still my silver chord. The thread that keeps me grounded. That sometimes asks me to pause the work, close the laptop, and be present with them before I can return to these moments I’m honored to capture for others.
Thank you for your patience. Thank you for understanding that the same heart I bring to your images is the one I give to my family first. That’s where all this started. And where it keeps meaning the most.
