This is how we’re approaching the year ahead ✨
Instead of creating a traditional vision board each year, we choose a slower, more intentional approach.
We start by praying. Asking God to give us vision for the year ahead and to align our hearts with His will.
From there, we plan around a few areas that matter most to us: faith, family, finances, business, home, health, and the everyday things in between.
We write down a few simple goals for each category. First together, then individually — so we can stay aligned in our marriage and support one another as we walk through the year.
After writing it all down, three words began to surface as the theme for our year: simplifying, stewardship, and self-control (as spiritual fruit).
Over time, this way of planning has felt most aligned with our walk with God. We don’t want to chase what we want for ourselves, we want what He has for us. And right now, that looks like stewarding what we’ve been given with care and intention.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord…” Jeremiah 29:11
If you’re heading into this year craving clarity, alignment, or a reset, I encourage you to try this with your spouse. It’s a simple way to practice connection, intimacy, and shared direction — before the year gets too loud.
