It started in 2007, with videos shot on and old Sony V630i phone. Over the years I've built many more models, and I've been improving my video-making capabilities. I'm still never happy with them, and am continiously looking for ways to improve them. Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/technoandrew

My latest Lego builds!

Stephenson's Locomotion No. 1, along with the 'chaldron' wagons, were made available as instructions with custom prints from our club LNUR & LSUR: L-Gauge UK Railway.

Locomotion is a modified version of the design created by club member Henry Ayling, while the chaldron wagons were designed by Rory Falconer.

The models made their debut at Keighley Model Railway Show last month.

This weekend I’ll be exhibiting again at Alexandra Palace with members of LNUR & LSUR: L-Gauge UK Railway!

Should have the usual selection of stock to run, and maybe something new too.

Happy New Year everyone!

As with 2024, I took a bit of video every day for the last year, and you can check it out below if you’d like.

Plenty of trains and Lego in there, among other stuff.

Sorry there’s been a lack of videos in the last year. My free time has been spent on many other interests (as can be seen in this video!). I haven’t given up...

My project for the latter part of the year was to come up with some decent coaching stock, to run with my collection of locos both at home and at shows.

BR Mk1s have been done by plenty of other builders in the Lego Train scene. I certainly took much help and inspiration from those designs, particularly the one from Edtheshed, but have adapted them to suite my needs. I wanted to keep things simple, strong and lightweight to make these reliable runners.

A few tweaks to make to the prototype before I develop a proper rake of these.

This year's LNUR & LSUR: L-Gauge UK Railway member wagon was a very nice 16T mineral truck designed by Adam Jenkins.

I made some very minor mods to the door end (where the diagonal braces are), but it's otherwise stock.

Continuing the series of “things I should have posted earlier in the year”…

This little tank engine (Andrew Barclay ‘Pug’) was originally designed by Edtheshed as an unpowered model. I set myself the challenge of motorising it, and the result is the below.

Based on the preserved Works No. 1219 ‘Caledonia Works’.

Rods and wheels provided again by Breckland Bricks.

As the end of the year draws near, I've got some projects to catch up on!

First up; some updates to my GWR Prairie tank. I completed this around the same time as the Castle updates back in the summer.

Big thanks to Breckland Bricks for supplying the rods, crossheads and the custom-printed tiles. Also to club member Joe Graham for designing the prints.

One of my side project this year has been some further cosmetic upgrades to my castle class. This was partly inspired by seeing Lewis Bird's excellent model of 'Pendennis' as it appeared during it's Australian tour.

Upgrades include some custom tile prints, custom rods, and sorting out an annoying gap in the tender.
