Concept inspiration only — not our photo.

I can’t stop looking at this image.

Not because it’s n**e. Not because it’s dramatic.

It’s the texture. The layers. The way the pearls catch the light and create so much detail while still feeling soft and elegant.

I’d love to create something inspired by this someday. The kind of image where you keep finding new details every time you look at it.

One of my favorite parts of a photoshoot happens before a single photo is taken.

The brainstorming.

Throwing ideas back and forth.
Building mood boards.
Finding inspiration.
Figuring out how to take a dozen scattered ideas and turn them into something that feels unique to that person.

This shoot is officially on the calendar, and I’m ridiculously excited about it.

Vintage tubs.
Flowers.
Smoke.
Whiskey.
Soft romance.
A little bit of trouble.

Now comes the fun part: bringing it to life.

Honey is weird.

It’s one of the few things in nature that somehow manages to look beautiful, messy, expensive, and slightly dangerous all at the same time.

It catches light differently than water.
Moves differently than oil.
And somehow turns even the simplest photo into something that feels almost cinematic.

I don’t know exactly what this shoot would become yet.

That’s probably why I want to do it.

People remember the finale.

The dramatic pose.
The applause.
The part that makes it into the highlight reel.

What they don’t remember are all the little moments in between.

The split second before the music changes.
The scramble to catch your balance.
The expression that lasts half a heartbeat before it’s gone.

That’s why I like photographing live performances.

Everybody loves golden hour.

What nobody tells you is how fast it disappears.

One minute the room is glowing, the next you’re racing the sun, taking “just one more shot” before the light slips away.

This set came from one of those evenings where everything lined up for a few brief minutes—the light, the mood, and the moment.

Sometimes the best part of photography is knowing you can’t recreate it tomorrow.

Fun fact:

About 90% of a photoshoot is taking pictures.

The other 10% is moving blankets, adjusting lights, untangling necklaces, fixing hair, finding missing props, tripping over tripods, and saying “hold on, I have an idea” approximately 47 times.

This set came from one of those “hold on, I have an idea” moments.

Turns out it wasn’t a terrible idea after all.

The thing about candlelight is that it hides just as much as it reveals.

A curve becomes a mystery.
A shadow becomes a question.
And suddenly the imagination starts doing more work than the camera ever could.

Maybe that’s why I love images like this. Not because they show everything—but because they don’t.

Sometimes the most interesting part of a photograph is the story your mind creates after you’ve looked away.
