Yes, I have been quiet for a while and I am very apologetic about it
CM Photography - by Carla Meintjes had an opportunity to travel a bit and oh my goodness, what an amazing trip it was
I had the privilege to join a birthday party for a very dear family member.
My family and I camped at Bosveld Oase in Brits. It was wet, muddy and testing every fiber in my being not to take anything for granted.
This was night one. Footage captured on my cellphone. Little boma fire as close to our caravan as possible, just for a little bit of relief from the wet and muddy ground. Yes, we had a ground cover, but the mesh is only able to do so much😅
Next day we went a place where it was the closest being on a beach in the middle of SA
De Vette Mossel Harties. Wow!!!
The food was amazing, the atmosphere could fit anyone's personality. The entertainment was beyond our expectations.
Its family friendly. Game area for both kids and adults. If you are in the Harties area, please please do yourself a favour and go visit them
Afterwards back to camp, the mud was a major downer. Luckily we had a very generous neighbour who insited we move next to them (There were no other stands open at that moment). They helped us move a few meters and luckily had a hose so that we could rinse our mud covered ground vover.
All was moved within one hour and we were dry.
Thats what a camping community is known for. See someone struggle, help them. Help watch their kids with vehicles moving and just keeping an ear of someone calling a youngster and guide them in the right direction.
Our kids were only at the campsite to eat, drink something, change clothes and sleep. Thats it.
Anyway, here are some photos of the weekend's birthday celebration and muddy camping area.
Heading home now, but I think I need another weekend away
