One of the most incredible nights for astrophotography I’ve ever witnessed. Attempted to try capture the Southern Lights over Hout Bay, didn’t go quite as expected, wasn’t able to capture what I had envisioned such as the incredible view that Australia and New Zealand had. It appears that there was a slight Red hue in my photos due to the Solar storm hitting the earths atmosphere just after sunset. Final Image is 10x stacked images of 10sec exposures with R6 Camera.

Yesterday a freak lightning storm appeared over Cape Town, the drone battery had just enough charge to capture a few photos of the lightning striking over the mother city, you can also see some rain showers falling over the city from the northern suburbs side. One of the most incredible sunsets I’ve ever seen and was lucky enough to have a camera with me to capture it. After a 40°C day, there was a bit of rain in the late evening, followed by a rainbow over the Cederberg Mountain Range.
