The Hidden Gem that is Dlinza Forest Aerial Boardwalk
This place is magical!
We spent Freedom Day visiting a tjommie in Eshowe and had pre‑planned a stop at the Dlinza Forest Boardwalk. If nature restores your soul, YOU NEED TO GO! It’s breathtaking, and you genuinely feel on top of the world.

The hiking trails are short (between 1.3–2 km), but they’re infused with that enchanting forest mystique. If you're with quiet people (I was not 😒) you can spot a variety of fauna.

Just do yourself a favour & make a stop there!

What a spectacular floating rock we call home! What an absolute privilege it is to share it with the abundance of fauna & flora this planet houses.
May we ALWAYS remember we are connected; through the roots of the ancient trees, through the flowing waters that washed over our ancestors & through the collective consciousness we all share, from ant to lion to human... "we're all just trying to survive".
May you ALWAYS leave everything better off than when you found it & if you have nothing to offer nature, at the very least, be kind!

A little impromptu Family sesh with these wildlings!
Listen here, I would never subject a photographer to this crowd🤣 They would spend an entire weekend just trying to get us all together and looking at the camera!

Anyway, OUR BABY IS LEAVING FOR FRANCE ON THURSDAY 🥹🥹🥹!!!!
The first baby I held comfortably, the first nappy change I ever did, the first baby I taught how to swim... Our little Grace.

I am beyond proud of her! Beaming with pride!

This time thing is a tough pill to swallow, no lies, but what an immense honour it is to love a completely different species this much!

I adopted Ramsay with my very first wages as a bar lady/waitress back in 2012 from Animal Anti Cruelty League. It was, and ALWAYS will be the best money I have ever spent!

As his eyes become bluer, his face frostier & his walk slower, I choke up. About an hour before these photos were taken, I lay with him on my moms bed and cried. You see, when I look at him I still see this tiny little guy that I brought home, but then reality hits & I know time is not on my side.

If you are EVER looking for a pet, I plead with you to adopt! You think you are rescuing them, (which you most certainly are), but they end up rescuing you more than you are able to comprehend!

So, I've finally come to terms with old age catching up to me… You know that moment when you’re frantically searching for your glasses, only to realize they’ve been perched on your nose the entire time? Well, this was one of those moments. Somehow, in a feat of digital mischief, I managed to hide away 26 photos into a completely unrelated folder—like a secret stash I didn’t even know I was curating. Accidental organization at its finest!
