My name is Brent and this is my photographic journey. It all started in 1974 when, in primary school, I chose photography as my extra-mural activity. Despite dropping chemicals on the darkroom floor, opening the door and flooding the darkroom in light, as well as various other capers that infuriated our photo master, I persevered. By the early '80's I was pretty much taking photos of anything and
everything that was unlucky enough to stray in front of me and my trusty Pentax K1000 camera. I also spent the latter half of that decade hurling myself (much to my mother's anguish) out of perfectly serviceable aircraft several thousand feet above the ground with a camera strapped to my helmet. By the time the '90's rolled around, and aided by the fact that my fiancé and I were working in various game reserves throughout Southern Africa, I was almost exclusively focusing on wildlife photography... little did I know what the photographic future would bring! We now live in the little town of Hoedspruit, Limpopo adjacent to the Kruger National Park. This allows me access to many photo opportunities and, although my background and passion is wildlife, my photographic interests are quite diverse and include portraiture, lifestyle and bo***ir. Go grab something to drink, sit back, relax, have a look around and let me share with you some of the beauty I see in the world around me. Oh, and if you really feel daring and would like to try your hand at being in front of my camera's lens, hop over to my web page and let's make it happen!
