If you’d told me a few months ago that I’d be signing up for a half marathon, I would’ve laughed. Most of you only know me as a photographer, but somewhere along the way, running became more than exercise, it became a way of finding myself again.
One thing I’ve learnt is that grief isn’t linear. Some days I feel strong, and other days, simply getting out of bed feels like a victory. Healing doesn’t happen in a straight line, and neither does progress.
But I’m choosing to keep showing up, even on the hard days. Even when the motivation isn’t there. Even when grief feels heavier than the day before.
Because every step is proof that I’m still moving forward.
If you’re carrying something heavy too, this is your reminder: don’t give up. You don’t have to move fast, and you don’t have to have it all figured out. Just keep showing up. One step, one day, one breath at a time.
You are stronger than you think, and you are capable of doing hard things. ❤️
