Francois Roux MPSSA, and Johan Brits FPSSA are known professional landscape photographers having presented workshops together throughout South Africa over many years. Francois being painstakingly good with choice of exposure and composition will guide in and around Nieu-Bethesda at unique Karoo settings for delegates to create their own dream landscapes. These workshops will be conducted every afternoon at a variety of venues for small groups with little repetition. This will allow for a great variety of scapes to avoid the "not another one" syndrome when judging salons. Francois will also present a paper on "Lanscape and Equipment today"

Hanli Smit, Africa Photographer of the Year, will interactively work with Laetitia Kenny (in order to have small groups rotating on given afternoon) in a huge studio with three lighting setups. Hanli is known for her meticulous creative setups, in her own words "planing, planing and more planing".
She will instruct and demonstrate her planned shoots with lots of props she make herself, and of course allow small groups to then engage and shoot their own portraits with given models.

Gus Waschefort FPSSA - We are glad to have Gus (now from the UK) to lecture and present workshops in a real life environment. Gus will give us an abstract on PJ today in the world touching on human rights, ethics and techniques, a lecture he has presented at universities throughout the world.
"Ever since my first foreign assignment in Indonesia during 1998 I have worked in many regions of the world, but have maintained a particular focus on troubled regions in Africa, such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), South Sudan and Liberia. This focus carries across to my academic work as well. For example, for my PhD in International Law (SOAS, London) I did extensive work in the DRC. My current work focuses on the regulation of armed conflict in Africa."

Gus will guide small groups through the coloured settlement of Nieu-Bethesda every afternoon photographing children in streets also visiting shibeen and eat out.
