The winter air had a bite to it, but the atmosphere on the Hobson farm told a different story. Cameras rolling, cattle moving through the pens, conversations around genetics and breeding, and another chapter being written for one of South Africa's most respected Santa Gertrudis operations.

This week I had the privilege of spending the day with Howard Hobson, capturing content for the upcoming **16th X-Clusive Santa Gertrudis Auction**.

This year's sale carries even greater significance. It marks the **first-ever online Santa Gertrudis auction in South Africa**, a milestone not only for the Hobson family but for the entire Santa Gertrudis breed in the country.

Joining forces for this historic event are:
• Santa Pine
• Pinnacle Santa's
• Sanbach Santa's

On **27 August**, buyers will have the opportunity to bid on **26 quality bulls** and **25 in-calf commercial females**, representing decades of breeding, careful selection and a commitment to producing functional, profitable cattle.

History isn't always loud. Sometimes it begins on a cold winter morning, with good cattle, good people, and a vision for the future.

Nie elke dag eindig met 'n perfekte sonsondergang nie. Maar wanneer dit gebeur, herinner dit jou net weer hoekom die plaas een van die mooiste plekke op aarde is. 🌅🚜

Terwyl die son stadig agter die horison verdwyn en die lug in skakerings van goud, oranje en rooi verander, kom die dag se harde werk tot 'n einde. Die lande raak stil, die stof sak stadig terug aarde toe en vir 'n paar minute voel dit asof tyd self stadiger beweeg.

Dit is oomblikke soos hierdie wat my passie vir landboufotografie en cinematiese landbouvideo's aanwakker. Nie net om die trekkers, implemente of gewasse vas te vang nie, maar om die gevoel van boerdery te wys. Die trots. Die nalatenskap. Die mense wat elke dag werk om voedsel te produseer en 'n verskil te maak.

Elke plaas het sy eie karakter.
Elke seisoen vertel 'n ander verhaal.
En elke sonsondergang sluit nog 'n hoofstuk af.

Dit is presies die tipe stories wat ek graag deur foto's en video vertel. Vir boere, landboumaatskappye, saadmaatskappye, veeprodusente en kommersiële ondernemings regoor Suid-Afrika.
