Tonight I tackled my kudu drawing again and I'm hooked, the creative process is slowly turning me to love nature even more. Tomorrow I'll keep adding those tiny hairs 😜

My elephant drawing is taking shape, and the detail work on the trunk is really making it stand out after a full day's work.

Celebrating WORLD ART DAY through participation in a remarkable wildlife art course presented by Pieter van der Merwe Art. Here’s the subject for the day. Drawing done by Pieter as part of the technique lesson. I will recommend this course for all graphite artists 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Yesterday I pushed myself to believe that I can learn new art skills at my age. I’ve never had any formal art training before, and I felt completely out of my comfort zone.

Yes, my mind played tricks on me, and old memories came flooding back—comments people have made about my art:
• You are not good enough
• You are too late to learn art
• Art is not a real job

We all have our past “demons” to face, but this week I’m working on rebuilding my inner child while learning new skills,
AND
replacing those past comments with new beliefs.

I’m looking forward to learning more new skills and building a new life.
