Thank you Zambia Police. Happy Police Day
Crafting fictional stories on television while keeping them believable is something I always enjoy as a producer. Realism in storytelling does not only come from good scripts and talented actors. It also comes from the input of people who understand these professions in real life.
Over the years we have been fortunate to work closely with the Zambia Police Service. Their openness, professionalism and willingness to share their knowledge have helped us create stories that feel authentic and respectful of the work police officers do every day.
Since early 2018, our productions have benefited from the support and input of Zambia Police doctors, nurses, officers in charge, inspectors and many other officers who have generously shared their experience with us. Their insights have helped shape more accurate portrayals of policing and public service in our stories. This spirit of cooperation has also supported many other local productions and continues to strengthen the growth of our film and television industry.
I would like to sincerely thank the Zambia Police Service for the valuable support they have given our stories over the years. Special thanks to the IG’s Office and to officers of various ranks including Samuel Mubita Sikwa Timothy Malumo, Jeff Mwenda, , Bianca Kay Mulambila, OIC Nzala, Prince Jere and many others, whose guidance has been greatly appreciated.
We are also grateful to the teams at Zambia Police Sikanze Hospital, Godfrey Miyanda Police, Chilenje Police and Chelstone Police for their continued cooperation.
Your dedication to service and your willingness to support local storytelling does not go unnoticed.
Happy Police Day to all the men and women serving in the Zambia Police Service.
