Sometimes, I like to shoot directly in black and white—I love the raw looks straight out of camera, captured just as the moment happened.
To me, newborn photography isn’t about perfection. It’s not about erasing every tiny mark or smoothing out skin until it doesn’t look real anymore.
Sure, I could edit all of that out in Photoshop. But why would I want to?
I love the raw, real details. The dark, wild head of hair, the tiny skin peeling on their wrists, the soft fuzz on their shoulders, the delicate eyelashes, and the way they squeeze their eyes shut or frown when they’re settling down. Even the quiet little cries and furrowed brows tell a story.
Babies change impossibly fast. Every single day, they grow, and before you know it, those first few days feel like a blur. Years from now, when you look back at these photos, I don’t want you to just see a polished image—I want you to remember exactly how your baby looked and felt in your arms during those very first days.
Soft, quiet, imperfect, and completely perfect just as they are.

Yes after 11 years in newborn and maternity photography, I still finding myself smiling through every session. I find myself the happiest when I’m working, yes it’s not easy, it can be really tiring, sometimes can be very challenging too, but that’s the fun part isn’t it? Holding these purist souls in my hands everyday is really a blessing I could ever wished for. 🤍

“Can I choose the exact setup for my newborn session?” 📸🌿
I get this question all the time, and my answer might surprise you: My sessions aren’t fixed, because it doesn’t come from a template!
When it comes to newborn photography, you can truly create anything, anywhere, with whatever sparks inspiration. Instead of a rigid menu of setups, I love to ask my clients:
• What style speaks to you?
• Are there specific colors you love (or absolutely want to avoid)?
• Is there a meaningful element or story you want to tell?

Your photos shouldn’t look like a standard, mass-produced copy. They should be uniquely yours, focused on beautiful color coordination and the story you want to present. 🎨👶

In fact, for this simple tropical setup, the inspiration hit me the second I held this sweet baby in my hands! I designed and created the setup right there on the scene, completely spontaneously.
Photography is a collaborative, fun, and living art piece. Just trust the process! 💚

🧜‍♀️✨ Once upon a time, a tiny 7-week-old mermaid washed ashore...

Unlike the sleepy, curled-up phase of a fresh newborn, this little love was awake, alert, and ready to explore!

As I whispered to her, she looked straight into my eyes with so much curiosity; it felt like she was truly listening to every word I said. It was like there was a galaxy in her eyes, sparkling with the sweetest, most pure expressions. It made my heart absolutely melt.

Pregnancy changes everything, and honestly, it can be really hard to look in the mirror sometimes and see your body shifting so fast. It is completely normal to feel self-conscious or overwhelmed by the weight gain and the changes. But to me, as a photographer, this is the absolute most beautiful thing a human body can do. You might feel heavy and out of shape, but carrying a life isn’t about fitting into a perfect mold; It is a tiny human being built cell by cell underneath your heart. Every curve, every change, and every extra pound is a sign of the home you are building for your baby. Embrace it, love it, and know that you are beautiful exactly as you are right now.
