The Last Maasai -

Silhouetted against the vibrant hues of the sun, a proud Maasai tribesman stands tall, embodying the ancient legacy of his people, signaling the start of a new day.

This is one of my photos exhibited at the International Photography Festival in Sharjah. Today is the last day of this outstanding international photography event with 92 galleries of more than 2500 prints of the most creative photography and stories from all around the world all in one place. Visit my booth at Zone B S15 to see more portraits of people from Africa radiating pure joy. Also enjoy the work of all the artists exhibiting.

All profits from print sales will go to support schools in the community where the photos were taken through KG Foundation; a social impact organisation that is improving access to quality education in Kenya (www.kgfoundationke.org)

Excited and proud to be part of the world-renowned International Photography Festival at Sharjah Expo Centre from 28th February to 5th March. This is my very first exhibition and what a start and honour to be at Xposure! I am truly humbled to be amongst some of the greatest and most talented photographers from all around the world.

My photo exhibition is about “Simplicity in Joy”, a photography project that addresses the pressing need to counteract the prevalent negativity and inhumanity in today’s complex world. By emphasizing that happiness is a mindset found in simple life experiences and human connections, “Simplicity in Joy” becomes a beacon of positivity and a reminder of our shared humanity. This message is particularly relevant in times marked by greed and divisive actions, offering a counter-narrative that fosters love, compassion, and unity.

The project aims to share a message of unity and love between all human kind, emphasizing the value of human connection and the universality of our basic needs in life. In an era where cultural misunderstandings and prejudices persist, this piece of work becomes a visual testament to the fact that, despite our diverse backgrounds, we share common ground in our pursuit of joy and connection.

“Simplicity in Joy” is capturing the intangible essence of human emotions and connections. The photographs, beyond their aesthetic appeal, are a visual narrative that transcends language of love and humanity shown in the faces of the people of a remote Kenyan village, inviting viewers to reflect on their own lives and relationships.
