Sometimes you just need to get out of the studio.

Took the drone out to the coast and spent some time chasing shots over the water.

Shooting over the sea is a completely different game. The light changes, the wind picks up, and there’s nowhere to hide if the conditions shift.

You dial in the settings, watch the environment, and work with what you get.

No controlled studio. Just open water, changing conditions, and finding the right frame.

City shots or coastline aerials — which one would you shoot?

A bird's-eye view of the Eternal City. 🦅

Exploring the Eternal City from a completely new perspective. 🏛️

Took the DJI Mini Pro 5 up for a spin over the iconic Piazza Del Popolo in Rome, and the results speak for themselves. The stability, dynamic range, and sheer detail this compact drone captures over such historic architecture are incredible.

Whether I'm setting up lights in the studio or flying a drone out in the field, it's always about finding the perfect angle and letting the location tell its own story.

Have you ever flown a drone over a historic city? How was your experience?

You get one take to make it work.

On location, the schedule dictates the shoot. You don't have the luxury of rebuilding the setup or asking everyone to wait while you tweak a light stand. I adapt to the environment, dial in my rig, and get the shots without holding up the project. No massive crew, no directing the natural flow. Just locking focus and delivering exactly what’s required. Running it solo.

No posing. Just rounds on the bag

Combat sports don't give you a second take to get the angle right. You keep the shutter fast, stay out of the way, and catch the impact. Didn't ask him to stop or pose once. Just let the work speak for itself.

The set doesn’t stop for the camera.

In live music, the band dictates the pace. You don't ask a drummer to hold a beat or a guitarist to step into the light. The environment changes by the second, and your gear just has to keep up. I set my rig to handle fast movement and shifting contrast, tracked the musicians, and documented the performance exactly as it went down. No directing, no interference. Just locking focus and shooting the gig. Running it solo.

The environment dictates the shot.

When you are shooting a live event, you don't get to pause the room to fix a light stand or ask the subject to repeat a moment. You work with the existing setup and track the action as it happens. I adjusted to the available light, anticipated the movement, and got the shots without interrupting the flow of the event. No staging, no do-overs. I just locked in and got it done. Running it solo.

You don't control the stage lights.

When a rock band is playing live, you don't ask them to step into better lighting. You adapt to the dark stage and the unpredictable strobes. I dialed in the settings to handle the low light and tracked the performance without getting in their way. No staging, no asking for a second take. I just locked the focus and got the raw set exactly as it happened. Running it solo.
