Some species remind us why collaboration is essential in wildlife documentation.

The **Roger’s Racer** (*Platyceps rogersi*) is now featured on 360 Photography Nature, adding another important species to the growing visual record of Lebanese wildlife.

This desert-edge snake was formally confirmed from Lebanon through well-documented records from the northern Beqaa Valley, supported by photographs and genetic confirmation. Its discovery highlights the importance of continued fieldwork in Lebanon’s semi-desert habitats — landscapes that are still poorly explored and may continue to reveal species that were overlooked for many years.

A special thanks to my friend **Rami Khashab** for generously sharing his photographs and helping us document Lebanese wildlife. Contributions like this allow the website to grow beyond one photographer’s archive and become a stronger reference for wildlife in Lebanon and the region.

Every image, every field record, and every collaboration helps build a more complete picture of the species that share our landscapes.

A special moment with Jayakar’s Scorpion (Hottentotta jayakari).

While we were carrying out one of our field trips in the UAE, we took a photograph of a female scorpion carrying three young ones on her back—offering a fascinating look at the early stages of a species which is normally out of sight. Scorpion young remain with their mother during their first stage of life, making encounters like this especially interesting to document in the wild.

**From Wildlife Photography to Practical AI Tools**

Years of wildlife photography have taught me that the best wildlife moments rarely happen twice. Preparation, timing, light, distance, and camera settings can determine whether you capture the moment—or miss it completely.

Now, with AI, I can turn that field experience into practical tools that other photographers can use.

We have already published **four AI tools** on the 360 Photography Nature website, each designed to support wildlife photographers before, during, and after a shoot.

One of them is the **AI Settings Planner**. It checks the expected weather and available light, then uses your selected ISO and shutter speed to estimate the aperture needed for your planned shoot.

The tools are currently available as **limited free-trial beta versions**. They are still being tested and refined, and your feedback will help us improve their accuracy and usefulness.

I photographed this Little Owl family during the nesting season, but I chose not to share the images at the time. Not because the story was not worth sharing.
Because it was.
Young birds, active nests, and breeding sites are fragile. Even a small increase in attention can bring more pressure to a place that should remain calm. A photo can say more than we realize: the habitat, the angle, the background, the timing, sometimes even the route.
So I waited.

Now that the season has passed, I can share the story with more peace of mind.
For me, this is part of wildlife photography too — not only taking the image, but knowing when the image should wait.
