Më 20 Maj 2026, ADRA Albania organizoi Konferencën Përmbyllëse të projektit “Edukim, Ndërgjegjësim dhe Parandalim i Dhunës me Bazë Gjinore”, një iniciativë e realizuar në kuadër të programit të mini-granteve RISE HER, financuar nga Bashkimi Europian dhe implementuar nga World Vision në bashkëpunim me Forumi i Gruas Elbasan.

Ky projekt synoi fuqizimin e fëmijëve, prindërve dhe komuniteteve lokale përmes edukimit, ndërgjegjësimit dhe promovimit të vlerave të respektit, barazisë dhe mosdhunës. Përgjatë implementimit të projektit, pjesëmarrësit u pajisën me njohuri dhe aftësi për të kontribuar në krijimin e mjediseve më gjithëpërfshirëse, të sigurta dhe pa dhunë.

Konferenca shërbeu si një moment reflektimi mbi rrugëtimin e projektit, duke prezantuar rezultatet e arritura, sfidat e hasura dhe ndikimin pozitiv në komunitet. Aktiviteti mblodhi përfaqësues të institucioneve lokale, organizatave partnere, komunitetit dhe të rinjve, duke nxitur diskutime mbi rëndësinë e bashkëpunimit në parandalimin e dhunës me bazë gjinore dhe fuqizimin e komuniteteve.

ADRA Albania falënderon të gjithë partnerët, pjesëmarrësit dhe mbështetësit që kontribuan në suksesin e këtij projekti dhe në promovimin e një shoqërie më të sigurt dhe më të barabartë për të gjithë.

"My name is Hoai, I am a volunteer with ADRA Albania through the Bridge Project with the European Solidarity Corps. Yesterday I had the opportunity to step out of the office and join a visit to Elbasan to see the RISE HER project, a wonderful initiative which we implement to Educate, Empower and Prevent Domestic violence.

We brought snacks to the women and started chatting with them about this subject. The atmosphere was calm but very warm.
When the kids arrived the energy shifted completely. They were curious, bold and eager to talk to a new face, especially the little ones. With the use of hand gestures, expressions and a handful of basic Albanian and English words, we managed to learn quite a bit about each other. We even managed to teach each other some new words!

I am really glad I got to see the project in action. Days like this are a good reminder of what it's all for."

On this 2026, we are keeping it simple with the message: take care of your body!

Health isn’t just about doctors or hospitals, it starts with eating well, exercising regularly, getting enough rest and paying attention to your mental wellbeing. These small everyday habits shape how we feel and how we show up for others.
By taking care of yourself, you also take care of others.

So take a moment today to check in with yourself and take action to support your body, even in a small way.

A Meaningful Visit in Elbasan -

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to visit one of our project sites in Elbasan, where important work is being done with the local community to raise awareness about gender-based violence.

As a new volunteer with the BRIDGE project, it was a special moment for me to introduce myself and share a bit about my volunteering journey. Being welcomed so openly reminded me why I chose to be part of this initiative in the first place.

The children were incredibly energetic and engaged — especially during the Kahoot session led by the facilitator! Their excitement, curiosity, and teamwork filled the room with positive energy.

What touched me most was that even without sharing the same language, we were still able to connect. Their smiles, warmth, and openness said more than words ever could.

Moments like these show that building safer, more aware communities starts with simple human connection. I’m grateful to be part of this journey and look forward to learning, contributing, and growing together.
