[ESP] Cada año que pasa estoy menos tiempo en Argentina. Entre trabajo, viajes y surf casi siempre estoy “afuera” del país donde nací. Pero para este Diciembre yo tenía un plan que consistía en estar para la final del mundial en Buenos Aires.
Sabía que era difícil, pero dentro mío tenía una confianza enorme en el grupo de jugadores de que nos representan y el espíritu de unión que transmiten. Por ello creí que este sería nuestro mundial y me aseguré de estar acá para vivirlo, disfrutarlo y fotografiarlo.
Claro que tengo mis cuestionamientos intelectuales sobre lo que la Copa del Mundo representa a nivel político y social. Claro que muchas cosas no están bien. Pero ello no impide que un juego tan lindo como el fútbol una a un país que muchas veces se siente dividido.
El futbol es una pasión, y las pasiones no se explican. Las pasiones se viven, se disfrutan y en este caso, se celebran!
VAMOS ARGENTINA CAMPEON!

[ENG] Every year I spend less time in Argentina. Between work, travel and surfing I am almost always “outside” of the country where I was born. But for this December I had a plan... I really wanted to be in Buenos Aires for the Qatar 2022 World Cup final. I knew it was difficult, but inside me I had enormous confidence in the group of players that represent us and the spirit of unity that they transmit. That's why I thought this would be our World Cup and I made sure I was here to live it, enjoy it and photograph it.
Of course I have my concerns regarding what the World Cup represents on a political and social level. Of course many things are not right. But this does not prevent a beautiful game as football from uniting a country that often feels divided.
Football is a passion, and passions cannot be explained. Passions are to be lived, enjoyed and in this case, celebrated!

Sing-sing ceremony at Natade Village, Papua New Guinea

[ENG] One of the most interesting events to see in Papua New Guinea is a sing-sing ceremony where people from a tribe gather to celebrate special events like weddings, the ascension of a chief, or the initiation of a boys and girls through dance and music. Sing-sing ceremonies can also gather different tribes or villages with tha aim of promote peaceful interactions between them showing their distinct culture, dance and music. Villagers will paint and decorate themselves using a rich variety of materials such as pigments, feathers, leaves, bone, shell and animal skins.

[ESP] Uno de los eventos más interesantes para ver en Papua Nueva Guinea es una ceremonia "sing-sing" (cantar y cantar) donde la gente de una tribu se reúne para celebrar eventos especiales como bodas, la ascensión de un jefe o la iniciación de niños y niñas a través del baile y la música. Las ceremonias "sing-sing" también pueden reunir diferentes tribus o pueblos con el objetivo de promover interacciones pacíficas entre ellos, donde mostrarán su cultura, danza y música particulares. Los aldeanos se pintan y decoran utilizando una rica variedad de materiales como pigmentos, plumas, hojas, huesos, conchas y pieles de animales.

[ENG] Preparation of sago bread at Natade Village, Papua New Guinea

Sago is a starch extracted from the spongy center of several tropical palm stems, especially Metroxylon palms. Sago starch can be baked (which results in a product analogous to bread, pancake or biscuit) or it can be mixed with boiling water to form a paste. Sago is still traditionally produced these days as a staple of many villages in Papua New Guinea. .

El sagú es un almidón extraído del centro esponjoso de varios tallos de palmeras tropicales, especialmente las palmas Metroxylon. El almidón de sagú se puede hornear (lo que da como resultado un producto análogo al pan, panqueque o galleta) o se puede mezclar con agua hirviendo para formar una pasta. El sagú todavía se produce tradicionalmente en estos días siendo un alimento básico de muchas aldeas de Papua Nueva Guinea.
