These 3 things can hijack your elopement day:
1. Trying to fit too much in - I know that FOMO is real, and you might feel like you need to visit as many places or do as much as possible. But you risk ending up feeling like you rushed through everything, running behind on your timeline, and potentially feeling more stressed. Keep things simple and intentional.
2. Wearing uncomfortable or poorly fitting outfits - it doesn't matter if they look great when you're standing completely still. If you need to constantly re-adjust your clothes or you can't even walk 10 steps without help, that will affect your photos. Firstly, you'll look uncomfortable, and there won't be much opportunity for those lovely candid moments of you both walking. Secondly, if movement is difficult and slow, you're probably going to lose time in the schedule. It might also mean fewer photos if I'm constantly having to help you rather than doing my job (aka taking photos).
3. Not planning in time to eat/drink/use the bathroom - it might be your wedding day, but you are still human, and your body has needs. Especially because so many couples skip breakfast (sunrise vows, nerves, etc), making sure to plan in time for food during the day is so important. If you don't, best case, you just feel a bit hangry; worst case, you put yourselves in danger attempting to hike on an empty stomach. Find a fun way to incorporate a meal break into your day - perhaps stopping at a mountain hut and trying the local cuisine, or bringing a picnic of all of your favourite snacks. Include it in your schedule and make it part of your story.
Are you planning your elopement? Are any of these things something you'd not thought about?
