Posting what I consider to be my best photos, on World Photography Day 📸

Although instagram likes to favour videos over photos these days, many of us photographers still fight to get our work seen here. It really makes a difference if you like/share our work, partly for the algorithm and partly as reassurance it’s actually being seen!

I recently to showed my work at a portfolio review to photo editors and book publishers, and was surprised that some of them only consider publishing a photographer’s work if they have a certain number of followers on instagram (eg 50k). So, even though this app makes it hard these days to make photos visible to a large crowd, it’s still seen as the most important to some.
