Newborn sessions aren’t only about capturing your baby. They’re about remembering what your whole family looked and felt like when they arrived.

2027 still feels ages away… until suddenly it isn’t!

If family photos, maternity photos or newborn photos are something you already know you’d love next year, this is your little reminder that you don’t have to wait until life gets busy to start planning them. Because there will always be something happening. Work gets busy, the kids get older, babies arrive, weeks disappear… and somehow “we should really book photos” gets pushed back again.

So maybe 2027 is the year you actually get them in the calendar 🥹 My January - March 2027 studio bookings are open.

There are a few things I wish I could tell every family before they book their photos… so I’m just going to say them 😂🤍

And at the end of it all, i’m still going to tell you - book the photos!

I promise, you never need to apologise to me for your baby being a baby 🤍

They might cry. They might decide sleep is absolutely not happening. They might need three feeds, two nappy changes and only want to be in your arms. Your toddler might be more interested in exploring the studio than meeting their new sibling. You might feel tired, a little overwhelmed or not quite like yourself yet.

None of it is an inconvenience. None of it means your session isn’t going well. Newborn sessions aren’t about getting everyone to behave perfectly for the camera. We slow down, follow your baby’s lead and work with whatever your family needs on the day.

“What if my baby won’t settle?”

Probably one of the biggest worries parents have before their newborn session. But settling your baby isn’t something I expect you to spend the whole session worrying about. We take our time, follow what baby is telling us and give them whatever they need along the way.

There’s no pressure for your baby to fall asleep the second you arrive. All I need you to worry about is prepping baby beforehand (following my Newborn Session Guide), getting them here and handing over to me!

I absolutely adore family photos at this stage - their personality is starting to come through and you’re getting those big gummy smiles.

And this little family of three made capturing it very easy 🤍

If your camera roll is currently 99% photos of your baby and hardly any of the three of you together, consider this your sign.
