We celebrated their little man’s first birthday with an outdoor family shoot just like we did for his sister.

Incorporating a birthday hat and a huge number 1 balloon for a few shots then moved onto more of a family focus.

One of the funnest sessions I have done.

We chatted like we have been friends for years, shared a bottle of champagne, cuddled the cutest doggie ever, while watching the sunset and the kids play.

Yeah the kids ran, got silly at the end, there were tears, we pretended to see puffer fish in the sea and the dog vomited but Family photos your way with no pressure.

But look how beautiful they are!

When you apologise for
The chaos.
The kids who won’t sit still.

The miss matched clothes.

I can tell you a million times that those things don’t matter to me but when I show you what I see in the photos
The cheeky smile back at you to check your watching
The hand hold or foot tickle your toddler gives while you’re calming the new baby.
The “chaos” shows life and personality, your beautiful life and its uniqueness.
The connection between your loved ones that comes from not looking at the camera.

These are the moments I love to capture and the ones you will keep coming back to, not because they are perfect but because they are perfectly you!

A sunset session = a night off parenting.

Imagine treating a sunset photo session as a night off from parenting.
Let me explain.
No dinner to prepare.
No toys to pick up.
No bedtime routines to manage.
Just you and your kids enjoying the sun going down together.
During our session, you don’t have to worry about your normal night of making orders and negotiations that drive you nuts. You can let that be my job for the evening.
Your only role is to be present with your kids. Laugh with them. Chase them around. Share those inside jokes.
Embrace whatever moods show up.
Whether they’re bursting with energy, feeling a bit cranky, or somewhere in between, your job isn’t to worry.
I’ll tell the kids where to sit and when to smile.
You get a night off being in charge of all the things.
Sounds kind of like a mini vacation, right?
And when you do just that, when you relax with your kids and give yourself a break from managing it all, you’ll get the best photos because of it.
