I miss beach sessions so, so much. ✨

This was my last one since the algal bloom hit, and I've definitely been feeling the absence of my favourite backdrop.

Once baby arrives, I'm really hopeful I'll be able to bring beach sessions back.

I can't wait to be standing on the sand again, creating beautiful memories with the ocean as the backdrop. 😍

In all my years as a photographer, I've never been late to a session... until today. 😅 I have genuinely had nightmares about this exact situation!

I team manage a bunch of little footballers (Harry's team) and, in the last quarter, realised my clients had already arrived. Cue instant panic! Thankfully I was only 5 minutes away, got there quickly, and had the session back on schedule in no time.

I'm blaming pregnancy brain and the fact I don't usually work weekends anymore! 🤰😂

Thankfully, not having to rely on sunlight in the studio proves again to be an absolute godsend. Aside from a brief moment of panic, we were straight into it!

We smashed the cake, finished with a bubble bath, and captured some of the most adorable images along the way. 🫧

I still haven't booked my own maternity photoshoot... 😬

I'm my own worst critic, and my biggest regret from when I was pregnant with Harry all those years ago is not having maternity photos taken.

So this week, I'm determinded to book mine... and newborn photos!

I completely understand the hesitation. Wondering if you'll feel okay, if you'll feel confident enough, or if you'll like how you look in the photos.
Those same thoughts have held me back this time too.

But I know how much I regret not having those memories to look back on. Pregnancy is such a short chapter, and no matter how you feel in the moment, one day you'll wish you had something tangible to remember it by.

If you've been putting it off like I have, maybe this is your sign to stop waiting too. 🤍

One of my favourite parts of this job is getting to tell the whole story.

From capturing the excitement, anticipation and quiet moments during maternity photos, to meeting the tiny person you've been dreaming about just weeks later... it's something I'll never take for granted.

And this sweet little lady? She had absolutely no intention of sleeping for me! 👀😂 Not a wink. But honestly, those bright eyes, curious expressions and little stretches tell their own story.

While we try really hard to have a sleepy babe when we can newborn sessions don't have to be full of sleepy, curled-up poses to be beautiful. Sometimes the best memories are simply of who they were in those first precious days.

Thank you for trusting me to capture this chapter of your family's story. Watching your journey from bump to baby is the greatest privilege. 🤍

There is something so special about capturing the quiet anticipation before everything changes.

A little self-portrait to celebrate being halfway. 🥹🤎

There were days, weeks, and years where a second baby felt so out of reach. Because of that, I'm making a conscious effort to document this pregnancy, even on the days I don't feel my most confident.

My body is changing... quickly. It's softer, stretch-marked, and not something I've always loved seeing in photos. But it's also growing and home to the little boy we wished and waited so long for while we anxiously wait for his arrival... and that's something worth celebrating.

This photo wasn't planned. I was simply trying on my client wardrobe to see if anything still fit me... and I decided to step in front of the camera instead. 😅

A little reminder to myself—and to you—that comparison is the biggest thief of joy.

Take the maternity photos. One day, you'll look back and see so much more than the changes in your body. You'll see the home that grew your baby. 🤍

It feels like only yesterday we were capturing their maternity session, and now I’ve had the privilege of meeting their precious little girl.

Watching these beautiful journeys unfold and preserving these memories for families is something I’ll never take for granted. 🥰
