The Odehs ♥️

This day was calm, present, intimate and intentional. No moment felt rushed and these are all reflection of all that Chris and Molly embody in their relationship.

They were surrounded by their nearest and dearest for the first day celebrating being husband and wife and exchanging vows. Man alive were they incredible vows. The kind of words that make you really reflect on your own life and the love around you.

Following Jesus doesn’t mean I don’t feel frustrated when things don’t go to my plan, but it does mean that I feel a peace knowing His plan is far greater than my own inconveniences.

Last night I missed my international flight due to my first flight (of 3) being delayed from Chicago to Dallas. I ran from terminal to terminal and still was just minutes too late to get on that plane. I was sweaty and tired, it was midnight and I needed to book a hotel for the night.

In the midst of the chaos and sadness, I kept reminding myself that I am safe, I’m not missing someone’s wedding, I’m traveling solo unlike parents around me. It’s annoying but as upset as I was, I know in my heart that it always works out.

This peace doesn’t make sense on paper. People were yelling at the help desk attendants about their problems. And I felt their heartache for them. I don’t know what they were missing by not being on that flight but I know that they were missing the grace that God puts on our hearts during these moments.

I hope this helps someone out there struggling with their plans not working out ♥️

Getting the candid photos shouldn’t be hard 😌
Here’s the formula:

1. Think of your couples shoot as a reset, a time to hang with your best pal uninterrupted. Chat about the day, have laugh, have a drink

2. Don’t focus on the photos, focus on each other.

3. Let your photographer guide you, don’t be hard on yourself - the photos turn out better than you think

4. Don’t be afraid to get dirtayyyy, sit on the ground, lay on the footpath, swim in the ocean - the best photos take risks

5. Drown out the noises, take the extra 5 minutes holding each other. Don’t rush this time
