I think I should have added a little more saturation.

What do you think?

I think a trip back to a Bali is needed!

I’d much rather be watching a sunset, than walking thorough a wet Rundle mall.

Here’s my 5-step method for uploading crisp, high-quality 4K videos to Instagram:

1. ⚙️ Start with the right export settings — Make sure your video is exported in 4K (3840x2160), or at the very least 1080p with a solid bitrate. I typically use H.264 or H.265 at around 80–100 Mbps. The cleaner your original file, the better it holds up after Instagram compresses it.

2. 📱 Upload via the Edits app — Switching to Instagram’s Edits app made a noticeable difference for me. Because it’s built by Instagram, it seems to preserve more detail and avoids the heavy compression you often get from other upload methods.

3. 🌐 Use a reliable WiFi connection — I avoid uploading over mobile data completely. If your connection is weak or unstable, Instagram will compress your video more aggressively. Always connect to fast, stable WiFi before posting.

4. ⏳ Give it time to process — Once your video is uploaded, let Instagram fully process the HD version before sharing it around. If someone watches it too early, they’ll see a lower-quality version that doesn’t reflect your actual work.

5. 🎬 Post as a Reel every time — Reels consistently deliver the best video quality on Instagram. I’ve stopped using regular video posts altogether—if quality matters, Reels are the way to go.

If there’s a slight chance at getting something that will make you happy, RISK IT.

Life’s too short and happiness is too rare.
