Looking up and looking down : thereā€™s lots to see at Aerial Adventure Pemberton just near the Gloucester Tree - so many birds, family flying through the air on the zip lines and these kangaroos resting at the base of one of the towers, oblivious to everyone flying overhead. Needless to say I only took the ones where my feet stayed on the ground!

The calm before the storm: The birds were busy at before Sundays storm blew in. I wouldnā€™t call myself a twitcher but I could have watched them all day - and I lost count of how many different birds I saw (and how many blurry shots I took šŸ˜‚)

Strahan and Sarah Island - just so peaceful which is ironic given its history. This little corner of the world was a convict settlement entered through Hellā€™s Gates and the hub of all the protests against damming the Gordon River in the 80ā€™s. Itā€™s a very sleepy little town now!

Iā€™ve lost count of how many lovely locals have checked that we didnā€™t miss seeing the turning of the fagus - theyā€™re very proud of it here in Tassie! Fagus is Australiaā€™s only native deciduous tree and it was just starting to put on a show at Cradle Mountain last weekšŸ‚
