Some nights feel so long you think they’ll never end. The 3am feeds, the pacing, the “is this ever going to get easier.” And then you blink — and they’re never that small again.

That’s the trick of it.

This is why sessions like this one matter — the couch, the soft afternoon light, nobody posed, just a family being exactly as they are right now. Capturing the bit that feels endless in the moment, and disappears faster than anything else. 💛

I remember one day at kindy, my friends and I got into a very serious argument about whose mum was the best.

Each of us was passionately trying to prove that our own mum was the best in the world. Soon, more kids joined in, all defending their mums just as fiercely. None of us were willing to give up — until the teacher finally had to step in and break us apart.

As the argument went on, I realized that no matter what they said, I still believed my mum was the best.
But they believed the same about theirs.

It got me thinking… maybe the best isn’t just one, but all.

And now I truly believe that every mum is the best. We all are.
