Kangaroo Island - my dream 40th birthday treat location - and it spoilt me in every possible way.

KI showed off with its brilliantly green paddocks, bursting with wildflowers and wildlife. The mix of turquoise oceans and rolling farmland caught me by surprise, but the island's agricultural life and white sandy beaches feel so perfectly paired. All of it was totally worth stopping the car frequently until I got my 📷 fix! Sorry fam!

Staying exceeded every expectation (that view ❤️!!). Our days found this perfect rhythm - early beach adventures, slow breakfasts, card games and cuddling/wrestling matches on the world's most picturesque window seat. Then off in the car to explore another corner of this gorgeous (and huge!) Island before returning for sunset in front of the fireplace. Bliss.

As a photographer who's unapologetically guilty of overshooting (can you blame me!), it's nearly impossible to sum up just how good KI is in 20 photos....but here goes!

Maybe it's the way they strip away distractions and zero in on the good stuff - the fresh little chompers, the scrunch-nose giggles, the tiny hand grabs, the 'I'm up to mischief' eyes. Or maybe it's the way they make those skin creases and luscious cheeks look even more delicious.

Colour is fun, sure! But black and white? It's all about the feels. The tiny details. The kind of photos that make you stare just a little longer.
