It's pretty cool being a Freelance photographer for The Advertiser. Photos over the last few months have ranged from the incredably talented Rhonda Burchmore performing in Anastasia, The Variety - the Children’s Charity SA BASH with Modra's return, Science Alive, Crows player Tex Walker in his possible last games, Book week, Miss Universe Australia, with 104yr old Irene topping it off with a visit from minature horses from Nolton Park Horses at Estia Health. What a privelaged job. So many special moments.

It's pretty cool being a Freelance photographer for The Advertiser. Happy first Day of Spring! I thought I'd share my favourite photo from Variety - the Children’s Charity SA BASH. I love this photo. The timing worked out perfectly (with a slight squeel of the brakes...well maybe a turn around in their 1990 Ford) & these chaps are FAB. What perfect bees - Car Bee - The Bee Keepers. Happiness & Spring all rolled into one.

The 2026 SA Variety Bash raised an incredable $2,055,000 supporting kids across SA who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with disability. I volunteered for the 8 days taking photos of the event and these are my favourite photos . I'm also in there with the Elvis's (bottom left). Big thanks to the wonderful Bashers, staff, volunteers, officials & sponsors. And if you can volunteer - do it.

The 2026 Variety BASH starts tomorrow form Gawler & will treck all around the West coast of SA and end up in Port Pirie whilst supporting kids who are sick, disadvantaged or living with a disability. It's a lovely communtiy who helps SA kids in need. It will be a BLAST! I'll be volunteering for the 8 days taking photos on the event.

The month of April is done & dusted. I've taken lots of photos for Adelaide's The Advertiser, from the SA Premier, Variety's Easter picnic @ the Zoo, AFL Footy, Baby names, the upcoming Illuminate festival, kids with food & super cute Guinea Pigs!!
