My efforts from Saturdays night intense cell that hit the western suburbs hard. How cool is that cloud formation!

I was in the right place at the right time. On the way home from a twilight shoot, noticed some distant lightning in the mid north. Pulling over to check the radar and saw that it was fast approaching home and the northern suburbs of Adelaide. Seeing this I pulled off the northern expressway onto dalkeith rd in Kudla. I could see lightning in my rear view mirror at this stage so I decide to pull over chuck the camera on the tripod... first click of the shutter... bang! You can chase lightning for close to 10 years and not get this lucky. Last night has to be up there, if not my best lightning captures to date! 🌩🌩 more to come also! Like & share! Thanks all! ⛈ Neighbourhood Crawlers! ⛈
So last night was crazy! Well it was unlike anything I have seen in all my years of storm chasing.
Sooooo much activity, but very little coming to ground. Nearly all cloud to cloud and sheet lightning.
Zero visibility once the cell actually hit, torrents of water raining sideways.
Some of the biggest and best strikes hit once the cell reached above my head but obviously couldn't shoot it then! Haha. Wow... what a show. How did everyone else go? I feel like I did alright seeing as I couldn't actually chase it due to being on ISO, I snapped this from in front of my house! 😅🤣🤙
