Golden Orb Designs was created in 2009 and has been producing art gallery quality images since that Striking Photography. Photography and Design.

Photographers who specialise in landscapes are a dedicated bunch. They devote great effort to shooting just a handful of frames, patiently researching locations and diligently turning up at dawn and dusk in case the light is right. Their world is one of perfection and patience, an art form practised with great care that can teach all photographers some important lessons.

Ironic that my last photog trip in 2024 resulted in me saying... Yeah... 4 trips to the US and 2 to Canada... I think I'm done, I've seen what I want to see. Yet here I am, 18 months later.. constantly seeing videos of US and Canada thinking....faaaarrrrr............. I need to go back. 🤣

The City of Albany (and FormWA) currently has a light show occurring along the hills of King George Sound. Apparently its the largest light show on the Globe.

Its copped some initial criticism already after the first weekend (of 3).

Good on them for at least trying to encourage people to come to our little city during the Bicentennial of Albany WA.

If you are local and have your own camera, stay a bit, its lucky with our current cloud cover as I'm not sure how it would look with clear skies.

(and to answer the main question everyone asks... no, the light do not move).

Just a few more from Yellowstone and Grand Tetons :)
Such an amazing place to visit and well worth the experience.

The day that I visited I was faced with road closures due to heavy snow. Literally as I pulled up to the gate they warned me that the standard few hours to travel from South to North would take about 8 or 9. Glad I made the choice to drive.

It's been a while since I've been able to work on my shots from my trip through Canada and US in 2024. I have been slowly processing them but few and far in between posting them up on social media. Life has had its challenges and the last 20 months has certainly had exactly that.

I'm not sure if I've posted any of these before but here is some shots around Grand Tetons/ Yellowstone Wyoming.

Took the drive down to Denmark a few weeks back. The color of the water (almost green) is insane!.

Its been a insane few months here in the Golden Orb Designs family including house moves.

We have finally moved to our dream location and are now situated in Albany of Western Australia!!!!

The move which covered some 8 hours driving with a few p*e breaks added for the family cats.

One of those stops was right near a Canola field just south of Lake Grace I think?!

Here's hoping with a less intense roster that I can get out and capture some of the amazing scenery that the Great Southern has!

Absolutely loved the colder moments in Yellowstone... TBH I was rather lucky, the National Park had closed due to heavy snow, but by the time I got there it had partially opened up. Very thankful indeed.
