I mean, 90% of the time they’re sleeping, and don’t want to have a bar of you, but that other 10%? They love hard.

Because my last two posts were of extremely talented local artists, I’m going to post a third, because good things happen in 3’s right?
This was taken last year of KIRRILY ANDERSON | ARTIST
I absolutely love photographing fellow artists and creatives & watching how they work, their external calmness while holding the pencil or paint brush is so often a complete paradox to their brain the rest of the time. And it feels so familiar and comforting to me.
I think there’s a reason some of us are drawn to the arts. I know when I’m not on a shoot, my brain feels like a working dog cooped up in a small yard with no sheep to round up. When I pick up my camera, my brain doesn’t go calm and quiet, but I’m finally able to use all those unused facets of my brain for good. The chaos and internal energy is still there, but that working dog is able to be set free to do what it was bred to do!
Does anyone else relate?!
