Officially on leave.

My out of office email is set up, my laptop is closed and more then 10000 photos have been sent out this week. It’s been a mammoth effort to get so many beautiful photos out to their families this past month.

I couldn’t work out how to automate a reply to the contact form on the website, so if you fill out one of those - I promise I’m not ignoring you, I’m just technology illiterate!

While I have spent over a decade building, loving, spending every waking second in this business of mine, the last decade of life, my most formative years have been spent creating, learning, making, shaking and so much more.

I was just a baby when I started this life of mine, I am so deeply proud and remarkably grateful to still be here taking portraits for new faces, old faces and insanely loyal friends who I’ve met along the way.

I signed an email the other day “Happy days, happy life & a heart full of gratitude” and I don’t think those words have ever rang truer.

So today, I celebrate me and all I’ve achieved since I started building, learning and growing in this beautiful little life of mine. I’ve photographed across 4 of our beautiful Australian states and roughly 115 towns, from right on our doorstep, all across NSW & Victoria to the top of Queensland and the peninsula of South Australia.

Achievements worth celebrating, worth reflecting on and relishing in. A decade and more of capturing your lives, loved ones and the warmth of your love. Be still my heart.

Words I wrote many years ago, words I hold dear in my heart, words that will ring true for this life and the next: My greatest joy in life, comes from sharing in yours.

Let’s blow out the candles together.

It is so special to be asked to document your families. It is even more special to be asked to come back and do it for a second time.

At the end 2024, I captured the Knight extended family for Christina & Logan and then at the end of 2025, I captured the Petulla extended family for them. Both of their families captured, their loved ones, siblings, parents, little ones. Three generations of loved ones on each side.

This was a first for my little business, documenting the extended family for both sides of a family and it was so deeply special knowing that they have captured their loved ones, all of their loved ones in this season of life raising their babies.

Time is a thief that doesn’t stop for anyone, so to have images that capture you while you are all together, that capture your love as a whole and your individual families just feels so remarkably special. A very special, very abundant gallery of captures to remember this fleeting season of life, of grandparents, babies, toddlers & growing little people.

I am so grateful to be your family photographer Knight family. Your warmth is so abundant. M x

Life before babies. Life exactly as it is now. Three generations, together, in their entirety at home on the land. How remarkably special.

Life is short and fleeting and worth capturing at every stage.

These are heirlooms I know will be treasured forever. Never underestimate the power of professional imagery, of documenting the seasons of life you’re in. They are so worthy, they are so important. M x

Time is truly flying by right now. I’m in an editing haze preparing for my once in a lifetime trip through the middle of central Australia and getting ready for a milestone birthday. It’s honestly wild.

I’ve got another 50 little loves to capture this week at kinder and I think the weather gods will be on my side after a week of rain was predicted!

Something incredibly special is planned before I head on leave for Friday 29 May. It will be a limited, generous offering to celebrate the last decade, to celebrate this milestone birthday and to reflect on the stories I’ve captured, the families I’ve met along the way and the ones who’s unwavering loyalty and kindness have carried me into the life I have today.

So keep your eyes peeled, something deeply special is coming. I can’t wait to share it with you. M x
