Anthaea is a fully accredited member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography - AIPP - having graduated with a Certificate in Professional Photography, at the completion of her studies at ICPP, South Melbourne in 2004. Anthaea’s sensitivity is striking and palpable - whether it’s sensitivity to feelings, culture, the environment she is working in, or her sense of composition. Having
enjoyed a variety of people focussed roles - from ‘walking about the clouds’ as a Flight Attendant, operating a number of 5 Star Hotels along Australia’s East Coast to working as an Executive Assistant - Anthaea has spent endless hours observing the human spirit while serving and nurturing people of all ages and different walks of life. Born in the highlands of Papua New Guinea, growing up on Thursday Island and completing school in outback Queensland, together with her working experiences, has provided Anthaea with the perfect credentials to ensure any subject feels completely at ease. Photographing people comes naturally whether she’s sharing in the wonder of your new born baby, playing with children or engaging with the Executive Team of a large corporation, Anthaea is comfortable. Anthaea also has a penchant for animals of all size and breed. She has an ability to portray everyday moments as cherished keepsakes.
