A couple of bioluminescent fungi in Iluka Nature Reserve. Slightly larger than a five cent piece they are hard to get close enough to photograph, without disturbing the scene, but really stand out in the dark like green eyes in the forest.

The last of my night adventures in Cornwall. This is Carwynnen Quoit which has been standing for the best part of 5000 years, aside from collapsing and being rebuilt in the 1800s and recently. Dolmens, quoits or cromlechs, depending on their region, have been receptacles for human remains and possibly religious sites and even to this day maintain a mystical presence in the landscape.

Poulnabrone Dolmen in County Clare. A megalithic portal tomb set in the stunning limestone landscape known as The Burren. I photographed this in 1995 with the film camera so it was great to be able to shoot it again without waiting six weeks to see the results.
