Soft light, bold ideas and a whole lot of heart behind this one…

This shoot was inspired by Pantone’s Colour of the Year for 2026, white. Clean, minimal, powerful and anything but simple.

We set out to create something editorial and emotive, and what unfolded was pure collaboration from start to finish.

Every detail came together through teamwork, shared vision, plenty of laughter and a real labour of love.

These are the sessions that remind me why I love creating.

No pressure, no ego, just people showing up fully and trusting the process.

Huge gratitude to this dream team… Photographer: .photos.perth

Back in the studio today and wow I forgot how much I love this space. White on white portraits, clean lines, soft textures and intentional studio lighting all coming together exactly how they started in my head. There is something seriously satisfying about taking a concept and watching it turn into a real image through creativity, collaboration and a solid team vibe.

Getting back into photography after a long break feels refreshing and energising. Playing with studio lighting, shaping light, refining details and letting portrait photography breathe again. Big shout out to an incredible Perth makeup artist and Perth model who absolutely brought the vision to life. Team work really does make the dream work when everyone is aligned and trusting the process.

Loving how the Pantone Colour of the Year influence sneaks into the mood and tones, even in a minimal white on white setup. Clean, modern, intentional and creative. Shot on Canon, in my Perth studio, doing what I love and remembering why I started in the first place.
More to come.

Good morning 🌅

2025 tested me. It stretched me, humbled me, and forced me to slow down and really listen. There were losses, hard lessons, and moments where everything felt uncertain. But here’s the truth I’m taking with me into 2026.

Reset.
Restart.
Refocus.

This year is about clarity, consistency, and showing up with intention. It’s about choosing growth over comfort, discipline over distraction, and purpose over noise. I’m stepping into 2026 lighter, sharper, and ready to build what actually matters.

Photography remains a big part of that journey. Capturing real moments, honest emotion, and timeless images that tell a story. Less perfection, more presence. Less noise, more meaning.

Here’s to fresh energy, bold moves, and trusting the process. New year, new chapter, same vision just clearer.

Finally! The studio is freshly painted and I'm ready to shoot people 😅 literally

RETOUCHING 🤌🏻⁣

Creative photography retouching can take your images to the next level and help you achieve your desired look and feel. In this post, we'll be covering three essential techniques that every photographer should know: healing, dodging and burning, and colour grading.⁣

First up, let's talk about healing. Whether you're dealing with a blemish on a model's face or a distracting element in the background of a shot, the healing tool is your go-to for quickly and easily removing distractions from your image. Simply select the healing brush and brush over the area you want to fix, and the tool will blend the surrounding pixels to cover it up.⁣

Next, we have dodging and burning. This technique allows you to adjust the luminosity (brightness) of specific areas in your image. Want to make a subject's eyes pop? Use the dodge tool to brighten them up. Want to create a moody, shadowy atmosphere? Use the burn tool to darken certain areas. With a little bit of practice, you'll be able to expertly manipulate the tones in your images to create the exact look and feel you want.⁣

Finally, we have colour grading. This is the process of adjusting the overall colour balance and tone of an image to achieve a specific look or mood. You can use colour grading to warm up or cool down an image, boost the saturation, or even give your image a vintage look. The possibilities are endless, and with a little bit of experimentation, you can find the perfect colour grade for your images.⁣

I hope these techniques help you take your photography to the next level! Happy shooting!⁣
