Those we love don’t go away
they walk beside us every day
Unseen, unheard, but always near
Still loved, still missed
And very dear πŸ’•

In the blink of an eye another day is gone,
In the blink of an eye another week is gone.
In the blink of an eye another month is gone,
In the blink of an eye another year is gone.
And in the blink of an eye I'll be gone too,
And not just me but also you.
So maybe we should be wishin' and hopin',
That we could just keep our eyes open.
And see and appreciate all that we can see,
And learn how we can be, the best that we can be,
Before it's too late,
Time flies, so let's not wait.
Whether we have just one life or many, one thing is true,
We should try to enjoy every moment we can; it's the wisest thing to do.

I keep playing all those memories,
the ones from Yesteryear.
Where we would bake together,
and you'd put flour in my hair.

The records keep on spinning,
some times the needle sticks.
I see that as a sign, or is
my mind just playing tricks.

I miss your smile that danced,
as it moved from ear to ear.
The records are now dripping wet,
from every memories tear.

I pick the records up,
So much I want to see again.
but I can't bring myself to stop,
the one that is still playing.

I save our favourite memory.
Its the last one I will play.
It's where we meet again,
on a sunny day.

It doesn't look for names,
or rogues upon the street.
It cares nothing about looks,
or the people that we greet.

It doesn't look for money.
It cares nothing for our wealth.
It sneaks underneath our skin,
in the hope to take our health.

It cares nothing for our families,
or all the good we've done.
It is here for a battle,
because that's how it gets its fun.

It cares nothing for our power,
or if it causes pain.
It's coming for you anyway,
like a soggy nasty stain.

Maybe it will leave again,
as we know it can be beat.
We will send our heartfelt wishes,
and pray for its defeat.

I know you are still in there,
in the place of in-between.
On your way to your new home,
not forgetting where you've been.

You are passing many clouds,
looking for the best.
A place where you can settle,
a bed for you to rest.

You see so many Angels,
familiar in their face.
You know they will be waiting,
at your final resting place.

Your eyes are closed to darkness,
as you go toward the light.
When God greets you with hello,
you turn and say goodnight.

through the keyhole!
It's like looking through a keyhole,
at someone you don't know.
Forgetting who you are
or where you want to go.

Seeing only segments,
from who you used to be.
Not being able to distinguish
which one is really me.

In a moment you have a family,
the next you are a child.
Living with broken pieces,
from a life that once compiled.

Not knowing who is there,
or even where you are.
Yet knowing you are somewhere,
feeling so bizarre.

Every minute spent forgetting,
the moment from the past
Every day a new beginning,
as you forgot the last.

Piecing together a jigsaw,
every moment of every day.
Never ever realising,
a vital piece was thrown away.

Looking in the mirror,
wondering who it is you see.
Sitting at the table,
wondering who is sitting with me?

Asking for your parents,
who passed so long ago.
Wondering where your kids are,
forgetting you saw them grow.

Looking through the keyhole,
at a life that you've forgot,
but we all have a key,
to make sure that we do not.
