I can’t believe it

Four weeks of renovations, moving things around, and slowly creating a space that finally feels like me

On Friday, I had the absolute pleasure of welcoming N&O Skincare into the studio space for a branding session, and it was one of those moments where everything started to feel absolutely worth it!!

There’s still a few finishing touches to go (okay maybe a long list I keep adding things to🤪), but I’m so proud of what this home studio space has become. I’ll have to show a few before and afters !!! This would not have been possible without my incredible fiancé helping me bring my vision to life

This is now a space where ideas come to life, confidence grows, and your vision gets the room it deserves.

If you’ve ever been nervous about stepping in front of the camera, you’re definitely not alone. My goal is to make the whole experience feel relaxed, comfortable, and even fun. Think of me as your personal hype person, there to guide you, cheer you on, and help you feel like the best version of yourself from the moment you walk through the door.

Before we start taking photos, one of my favourite things to do is simply let little ones explore the space, whether it’s in my home studio or outdoors at a location. It gives everyone a moment to just decompress and a take moment - sometimes getting everyone there is the hard part, it’s life and things never go as we plan 😆

Just like us, not every child loves having a camera pointed at them straight away. Giving them a few moments to wander, play and get comfortable helps them feel safe, curious and excited to be there. Those little moments often make the biggest difference on how the session will go

It also gives parents a chance to take a breath. I know it’s so common to worry about how your little ones will behave or whether they’ll “cooperate” during the session.

But I promise, you don’t need to carry that stress.

Children are meant to be curious, playful and themselves, and that’s exactly what I love to capture. The most beautiful moments happen when we simply let them be. 🤍

One of my favourite parts of photographing families is seeing sessions through the eyes of little ones 🤍

Their perspective on the world can be so different to ours, and I love making them feel involved in more ways than just standing and posing for a photo.

Making sessions interactive, playful and interesting helps little ones actually want to be there, want to be involved, and it makes the whole experience feel more relaxed and enjoyable for mum and dad too. It makes everyone want to do it all over again in a few years time 😅

But seriously kids bring so much imagination, curiosity, chaos, softness and personality into every session and honestly, those are usually the moments that end up meaning the most. I love it 🥰

This moment absolutely melted my heart 💗

A little business update from me 🤍

If you’ve been around here for a while, you’d know I’ve spent a long time trying to juggle all the moving parts of business through Instagram and Facebook messages… and honestly? Meta Business Suite has tested my patience more times than I can count 🫠

Lately I’ve been making a really conscious effort to improve my work/life balance this year. Not just working harder, but working better. Creating systems that help me feel more organised, more present, and less constantly “on”.

Part of that has been simplifying the way I take bookings.

Moving to direct booking links, website enquiries and email submissions means: - less missed messages
- clearer communication - up-to-date availability - a smoother experience for both you and me

But I also want to reassure everyone that just because my booking process is changing, it doesn’t mean I’m suddenly less available or less present for my clients 🤍

I’ll absolutely still be here to help with questions, support during the booking process, session preparation, outfit advice, reschedules, nervous kiddos, “what do I even wear?” messages and all the little things in between. That part of my business will never change.

This business means so much to me, and so does the experience my clients have from start to finish. I’m always trying to grow, improve and make things feel a little easier and more intentional. I’m not entirely sure if this is going to be the right move but I know what I’m currently doing isn’t working for either myself or my amazing clients.

Recently I started renovating the studio space and somehow got so caught up in how I thought it needed to look that I completely lost my creativity for a little while.

Pressed pause, shot a quick session… and honestly? I’m obsessed with how it turned out. ✨
