I spoke a while ago about how this new series of photography ‘Milk Bar Stories’ was not only a lot of fun, but it was pushing my boundaries in many ways.

Today Bianca Fammartino and I were going to shoot out the front of the gorgeous old General Store in Scarsdale.

We were going to be right up on it so to avoid any embarrassment I arrived early and went inside to meet this lovely lady.

I complimented her on her old building and while buying a Nippy’s Ice Coffee and some mixed lollies I asked politely if I could use the front of her store for a background for some photos because it was so cool, she agreed with a smile.

About 20 minutes into our shoot she came outside to have a cigarette and I snapped this shot of her.

She was lovely (as were the lollies).

I just wished that the 100 year old man that came to get his daily paper had agreed to be in a photo with Bianca, but he politely declined. 😂

Without this series, I would not have had this experience. Thank you Bianca for making it so much fun.
