Ancient Optics Rehoused Vintage Canon FD Zooms

35-105mm T3.7 Full Frame
24-75mm T2.9 Super 35

These zooms have the classic Canon look, very similar to K35s. Sharp in the centre, with moderate fall off towards the edges. Bokeh has a gorgeous texture that escapes modern lenses. Canon classic vintage SSC coatings that produce beautiful gold and purple flares, but not so heavy that backlit and high contrast situations are an issue. 5 bladed iris that produces unique and interesting pentagon shaped highlights when stopped down. Close focus under 3’. These zooms match perfectly with our rehoused K35s and with many of our other vintage primes.

These Full Frame vintage primes were produced by the East German VEB Carl Zeiss Jena, cut off from the West by the Berlin Wall. They have a classic Zeiss look, whilst remaining reasonably budget friendly. Good contrast and detail, without a hint of harshness. The rehousing by Iron Glass in the Ukraine is stunning. Beautiful classic lenses.

Sigma Full Frame High Speed Cine Primes

14, 20, 24, 28, 35, 40, 50, 85, 105 and 135mm

These primes are small, lightweight, fast, PL mount and cover full frame. All the focal lengths are T1.5, except for the 14mm and 135mm which are T2.0. They have a clean, contrasty, sharp look, without any harshness. They are a great choice if your intention is not to bake in any strong looks in camera. Leaving a blank canvas to craft in post production. Budget friendly as well. A nice, solid set of lenses with a great range of focal lengths.

Tiffen Glimmer Glass and Black Glimmer Glass Filters

Glimmer Glass are currently some of the most popular diffusion filters.

They take the edge off sharpness without having a big effect on apparent focus. Shadows are not heavily lifted and you still get a reasonable amount of contrast. They excel for subtle skin softening and texture taming.

The standard Glimmer Glass produces a tighter, brighter and whiter glow around practical lights and specular reflections.

Black Glimmer Glass creates a more mellow, softer halation that spreads further into the frame, rather than a sharp white pop.
