Been in a little photography slump so with a recent trip to Melbourne I thought I would challenge myself. The challenge was to only take one lense, a 35mm, and use it solely. I realised the first day or so how much I relied on the adjustable zoom to frame my images and needed to approach subjects a little differently. Here is a selection of some of the images and was great to finally get out and capture images around the city.

Earlier in the week I had a drive out through Black Springs, Rockley and Burraga. Unfortunately a little early for the autumn colour changes but a great drive nonetheless. Was able to get a few drone images of the Fish River near where it begins at Black Springs and works it way through to the back of Oberon Dam.

An incredible hot day in the central west with 37 degree temperatures were met with a great storm front later this afternoon.
Watching the storm head east over the Blue Mountains, it looked incredible during the sunset with lightning strikes towards Kandos and Mudgee.

A nice sunset this evening watched from Sofala Road at Laffing Waters. It seemed to have just gone on forever tonight and the intense burst of colour at the end was fantastic.

A hot summers day in Bathurst, and pretty much most of the eastern states of Australia. A venture out to capture the setting sun this afternoon didn't disappoint. A three image set over the 25 minutes was a great way to end the day.

A cold winters morning and the chance of snow down to 600 metres was worth the drive out to Oberon for some snow hunting. Not much to be seen until we reached Black Springs with a light dusting across the high lands.

A couple of other drone images from Kanimbla NSW. Quite surprised once I magnified the dam image on how many kangaroo's were in the valley.

Spent a few days at a tiny house in Kanimbla NSW, on the opposite side of the Cox's River from the Megalong Valley. Amazing location and accommodation. Really worth the visit and certainly will be returning.
