I'm a little surprised at how well this capture from yesterday turned out, wasn't sure when I was taking this shot. I did move the leaf a little so it lined up better, not something I do often :)

Months after the devastating fires in January at Harcourt and Mount Alexander the road over the mountain is now open to visitors.

I've been a little hesitant to share what I captured of the fires but the mountain is a location I visit frequently to escape into nature and I wanted to share some photos captured before, during and after January 2026.

It is amazing to see new growth on the mountain against the damage from the fires.
