✨🎄 Christmas Minis feedback 🎄✨
I absolutely love my job, so much that I don’t see what I do as a ‘job’. I feel so lucky to be trusted by so many families to capture their little moments to have as memories for a lifetime.
Messages like this mean so much to me, and make me feel so grateful that I started this little business of mine almost 4 years ago now.
As someone who doesn’t feel super comfortable in front of the camera, hearing that I not only help my clients feel comfortable in front of my camera, but that they have fun during our sessions, is the biggest compliment I could ever receive.
I’m looking forward to our next Christmas Minis session so much, see you there 🥰

Our first weekend of Christmas Minis was such a joy! 🎄✨
I had the absolute honour of capturing 10 beautiful families, with all of the cuddles, tickles and laughter in the sunshine.
Im so grateful for all of the familiar and new faces I had in front of my camera this session, it means so much that I was able to capture your Christmas memories this year 🫶🏻
All of these galleries will be edited and sent off this weekend, ready for our next Christmas Minis session in one week!

They’re finally here! I’m so excited to be offering Christmas Minis this year. Short, relaxed sessions full of laughter and connection, perfect for families wanting beautiful, natural photos before the holidays.

This year’s location is an open, light-filled space in Lawson surrounded by tall trees, safe for little ones (no cliff edges!) and versatile enough for both Christmas themed or classic family photos.
Choose a festive setup with styled touches, or keep it simple for updates family photos.

Hi! 👋🏻

It’s been four years since I started Kayla Jade Photography, and somehow I’ve managed to avoid properly introducing myself this whole time!

Ironically, I don’t love being in front of the camera (trust me, I get it!) but here we are!
I’m Kayla, the face behind Kayla Jade Photography.

I’m a mum of three, two girls and a boy, and my partner has two girls, so together we have five. It’s busy, loud, and we are always armed with snacks!

I grew up in the Blue Mountains, and after having my daughter nine years ago, I found my mum’s old Canon EOS 550D and snapped a photo of my daughter just for fun (slide 4!). That one moment planted the seed for what would become this little business of mine.

When I had my second daughter five years ago, I moved back up the mountains from Penrith, and being surrounded by the scenery here sparked a whole new inspiration. I started photographing friends outdoors, and before long, those photos turned into sessions, and sessions turned into Kayla Jade Photography.

My passion began with chasing sunsets but has grown into capturing emotion in every story, from weddings to maternity and family sessions. (Though pair that with a mountain sunset and my heart’s pretty much full!)

I’m coeliac, a lover of any gluten-free chocolate I can find, and I always edit with a hot chocolate I usually forget about halfway through 😅 I’ve also played basketball for 13 years and now coach my daughters’ rep basketball team, one of my favourite things to do outside of photography!

I love how the valleys in the Blue Mountains make you pause and slow down, and that’s exactly how I want my sessions to feel: relaxed, fun, and real (even when the little ones aren’t so sure about photos - trust me, with five kids, I get it).

I’m so grateful that sessions have turned into friendships, returning families, and the joy of watching kids grow through my lens. If we haven’t had a session together yet, I can’t wait to meet you 🤍

Month 6 of my 2024 goal of getting my kids out for one outdoor shoot a month. Of course, we continued our M&M tradition which at this point, was more of a bribe to get the kids to take photos on a particularly freezing evening. We got all of these images within 10 minutes and raced back to the warm car 😅🥰
