πŸŒΏπŸ’§ Hidden in the rainforest along Gordon Creek is the Pool of Siloam.

πŸƒThe pool is named after the Pool of Siloam in Jerusalem, which is known for its healing waters in the Christian Bible. Early European settlers gave many Blue Mountains landmarks biblical names.

πŸ’§ Today, the pool is a shallow, sandy-bottomed basin perfect for wading, though it was once deep enough for diving before decades of sediment settled.

πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈA short but steep hike from Gordon Falls Reserve, this spot brings together natural beauty and a rich history.

What a lovely surprise ✨

My photo, β€˜Last Light Over the Grose,’ was selected as a Landscape Finalist in this year’s Australasia’s Top Emerging Photographers awards.

To be included alongside so many brilliant, talented photographers across Australia and New Zealand is a huge honour. A sincere thankyou to the team at Capture magazine and the judges for putting this together and supporting emerging Photographers.

I just feel incredibly lucky to live in the Blue Mountains and to share these beautiful fleeting moments. Thank you for following along on this crazy creative journey! πŸ™πŸŒΏ

✨ Twilight over the Grose Valley πŸ’œ

🌿 There’s something quietly calming about watching daytime slowly transition into soft pinks and purples. It’s one of the best ways to see the Blue Mountains settle in for the night.

πŸ–ΌοΈ What a lovely opening night at the bentART Exhibition hosted by Rex-Livingston Art + Objects gallery.

I am absolutely honoured to have two of my landscape photographs, "First Light" and "Just a speck in the Universe," hanging alongside so many inspiring collections of work. The walls are packed with incredible talent and diverse stories this year.

🎨If you're in the Blue Mountains, do yourself a favour and drop by the gallery to see the full collection. The exhibition runs until June 13th.

Look a little closer. πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈπŸŒΏ

🌿 When we think of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, we often picture massive sandstone cliffs and sweeping blue valleys. But the true heart of our ecosystem exists in the micro-world right beneath our feet.

Swipe through all 10 slides to explore what we are fighting to protect:
🌼 The crisp, perfect geometry of a native bush daisy
🌱 The vibrant, life-giving veins of fresh green foliage
πŸ’§ The brilliant amber drip of Eucalyptus sap, showing the raw resilience of our forests.

🐜 The hidden nurseries, pods, and plant galls, where life quietly cycles through our bark and branches.

These tiny worlds are the engine room of our environment, but they are also the most vulnerable to rising temperatures and changing fire seasons.

When we take action , we aren't just saving a view; we are saving a complex web of life. This World Environment Day, pause on the tracks and appreciate the little things. 🌏
