Frosty morning at home. The mulch, grass, gutters and even my bonsai are covered with tiny iciclcles. Love the little ice crystals on everything.

This is a top down over a pine forest. I'm sure it's been done a million times but I wanted to do my own take and found the perfect spot for it a few weeks ago. This week, I've been sick with Covid, so had the opportunity to stop and do an edit or two when the waves of aches and pains cleared.

After the 3 day long headache cleared it was great to dive into the new Bring Me The Horizon album.

I love it.

The concept and sounds used to make a layered listening experience are great. Better yet, our young generation of listeners are keenly deciphering audio scrambles, backwards messages and codes from all over the art to find awesome Easter eggs in digital spaces.

It feels like the wheel is turning and metal is coming back around for the next gen in their own way. It's great to see the directions heavy music is heading in ☺️

πŸ“ Hotham River bridge, Boddington.

Absolutely love a foggy morning sunrise. πŸŒ„
Hoping we see an end to the long and dry spell that's been going on too long, fingers crossed in the next week or so.

I'm a massive fan of rainy and wintery conditions. The blue hues, droplets, puddles, clouds, rainbows and petrichor all fill me with joy.

In my opinion there's no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing for the it πŸ˜‰

πŸ“White Peak, Chapman Valley

Had a lucky afternoon of everything aligning well while out at work in Geraldton. Perfect spotty clouds and the odd rainbow or two made an easy afternoon of point and shoot photography. Hopefully, the start of finding my groove again with photography.

Woke up to stunning foggy conditions on Saturday morning, went for a walk to the river and really enjoyed getting photos along the Weir and under the bridge.

It's so fascinating how just one or two decent rains take the area from almost appearing dry to spilling over the Weir again.

This shot was one of my less expected compositions, I was wanting to put my waders on and get a more wide view of the tree skeletons so tested the waters first and landed on this.

Looking forward to more foggy opportunities in the future 😍

Sunrise on a stormy day, Newman, April '24.

Loved the blue hues of the sky, the Canon processor really saturates early and late sun in a blissful way. I especially like the contrast against the red dirt.

Getting very excited about potential Aurora Australis opportunities this weekend!

Hope you've all had a glorious week πŸ™πŸ˜Šβ€οΈπŸ‘

Well woweee what a fast year it's been! Hard to believe it's already May!

Besides one or two quick photo opportunities, I've barely had a chance to get out with the camera. and I have been doing renovations to our new home while my camera and drone collected dust, oops.

Here's an older shot that never made it to my feed. I absolutely love the way the golden light softly bounces off of foreground and background creating a lovely bokeh due to the wide aperture and I hope you do to.

I'd love to do an endemic flower collection in a similar style someday.

It was a pleasant surprise to come across this one while going through my catalogue from last year.

Last weekend while storm chasing, the fresh rain made for a great opportunity to get some shots over the Parkeyerring Salt Lakes.

Nearly 3 hours from Perth, this spot is a good day trip. Along the way you'll drive through state forest, historical country towns like Narrogin and it's hard to miss the big ram at Wagin.

Hi all, hope you've been well.
It has been a super busy February!
and I bought a home in a stunning town away from the urban sprawl of Perth so I only managed to get my camera out twice over the month. We've been flat out moving and unpacking in every spare moment away from work.
But...as we sat down one afternoon during unpacking, the constant movement around our Grevillea caught my eye. Looking over I was amazed at how many different birds were all piled on, suckling the nectar.

Despite needing to prioritise unpacking I just felt the pull and grabbed my Canon, chucking on Kim's Sigma 150-500mm lens. This was one of many species to visit and feed but also one of my favourite shots from the limited session.

Now that I'm a stonesthrow from some of my favourite parts of Western Australia, getting out and about to take more wildlife and nature shots will be a frequent occurrence, especially given the accessibility in our own yard.

The L5 disc recovery continues to go well, doing full time technical training all over the state 5 days a week and feeling better than ever.

How about your February?? How have you all been? I'd love to hear your wins and adventures. Please comment below or hit me with a DM about your year so far πŸ™
