We chose to visit Koh Hong instead of Maya Bay - I can’t tolerate the millions of tourists when adventuring with the kids 🤣
Koh Hong is best explored by longtail so you have the freedom to explore at your own pace. Leave early to enjoy the tranquility and peaceful surroundings, all the boats from Phuket start arriving at about 10am. We were staying nearby on Koh Yao Noi so we’re only a 30 minute boat ride
3 things I recommend doing at Koh Hong -
1 Climb up to the 360 viewpoint - amazing views in every direction
2 Walking around the island and swim/snorkel at the cresent shaped beach
3 Go into Hong Lagoon by longtail, the boats can only get through at a certain tide.
After visiting Koh Hong, we went to a snorkelling spot, had lunch and went to Koh Pakbia & Monkey Island - where’s monkeys swam out to greet us
