The rain was moving in so i set up the camera in our backyard and managed to capture this huge lightning bolt within the first 3 images. After this the much needed rain set in.

Check out the shelf cloud from this afternoon coming across Elizabeth Beach.
I only just got to the beach in time to capture this crazy detailed structure of cloud before the rain hit.

Last nights strong to sever G4 magnetic storm of the Aurora Australis was amazing to say the least.
This one was far more incredible than the geo storm in June.
I went back out to Seal Rocks as i new there would be no light pollution or torches/headlights of cars. The colours were more vibrant and the beams of light much bigger and wider than the previous. It started just after 8pm and went till 9:15pm.

I took Cody with me to view this rare event, definitely worth the late school night for him.

What an incredible start to our storm season.

We went to Blueys Beach headland with our kids and good friends.
The shelf cloud moved in from the south west across Seal Rocks and Smiths Lake moving north east. There was some amazing lightning bolts and sky crawlers.

Boomerang Beach was picture perfect today.

Small waves and the ocean was alive with fish, dolphins, birds and plenty of Humpback Whales heading back south.

Spring is turning it on with some beautiful conditions, warm sunny days and clear water at 20 degrees.
