Big news!!
I recently got accepted into study cert 3 in animal care services!! I am very excited about this animals is one my 2 biggest passions next to photography. After spending a good chunk of last year trying to get a foot in the door of the animal industry, to get the chance to go study so I can get the qualifications needed is amazing. Having said that I am putting my photography on hold for a bit as you might have noticed I haven’t posted since nov, the reason is to just take a break so I don’t burn out as well to be able to focus on the studies.
I have always had a heart for animals and I believe a big part of it was thanks to Steve Irwin and the show he had back in the 2000s really sparked a love for wildlife. With many people telling me I have a real gift and ability to connect with animals even the more timid ones will warm up to me rather quickly. So I will occasionally take photos when the inspiration hits me but while I am studying it will take a back seat
I also owe this to little Asha an orphaned bush-tail possum that I cared for while I was in n.z who helped awaken the animal side of me that had been dormant for the last few years. (Slide across to see a video of her eating an apple while resting on my arm)
