I’m working on something a little new for 2027.

I’m introducing a fresh style of black & white studio portraiture on a clean white background — light, simple and perfect for Queensland, while still keeping that timeless black & white feel.

Before then, I want to have a bit of fun, try some new creative ideas and create a fresh collection of images for my website, social media and marketing.

So I’m looking for 8 Brisbane dads and their kids aged 3–12 to take part this October–November.

Dad… this is super chilled 🙂 Seriously, you’ll have fun.

And yes — Mums are very welcome to jump in too.

It was such a privilege photographing Alicia and her service dog, Bella. Their connection was incredibly special to capture, and I’m so glad Alicia felt comfortable and supported throughout the experience.

**A portrait of three very different personalities—together in one beautiful piece of artwork. 🐾**

AJ’s wish was simple: a portrait of Odin, Safron and Pheonix together.

Odin is an incredible agility dog who has won competitions, loves his ball and toys, and has been a constant source of comfort for AJ during a difficult period in her life. Because he can feel stressed around other dogs, bringing all three together required patience, careful planning and a calm approach.

Safron is a seven-month-old sable merle Border Collie who absolutely adores Pheonix.

And Pheonix, the two-year-old Westie, likes to be in charge and make sure everyone knows it!

Their individual personalities were captured in a custom **30 × 30-inch framed collage**, designed to bring all three dogs together while still giving each of them their own moment.

Now, instead of these photographs staying hidden on a phone or computer, AJ will see their faces, their personalities and the connection they share every day in her home.

This is why the finished artwork matters. It turns a photoshoot into something meaningful that can be enjoyed for years to come. ❤️

🐾 SNEAK PEEK | LUCY 🐾

Lucy is the perfect mix of wild energy and sweet affection.

One moment she’s racing after her frisbee with everything she has, and the next she’s curled up in her camp chair, ready for a snuggle.

Energetic, unpredictable and completely lovable — Lucy certainly made sure her portrait session was full of personality. ❤️

SNEEK PEEK | ODIN, SAFRON & FENIX 🐾

Odin may not have eyes, but he certainly hasn’t let that stop him from living a full and happy life.

With patience, consistent training and plenty of love, dogs like Odin can adapt incredibly well and continue enjoying everything life has to offer. He has also been a steady companion through a difficult season, and his owner says there simply aren’t enough words to describe how much he means to her.

Joining Odin for the session were Safron, a seven-month-old sable merle Border Collie, and Phoenix, a two-year-old Westie — three very different personalities and one very special little family.

🐾 SNEEK PEAK | PINGU 🐾

At just 18 months old, Pingu is already proving that big things really do come in small, energetic packages!

Pingu was adopted at six months old after he and his littermates were rescued from a hoarding situation. When his owner, a dog trainer and lover of dog sports, had the opportunity to raise her own little “pocket rocket”, she simply couldn’t refuse.

Today, Pingu gives absolutely everything 110%. He is preparing to compete in agility and also loves scent work, rally obedience, disc, tricks and just about every activity they try together.

With an incredible work ethic, a perfectionist streak and a growing confidence around people, this clever little Kelpie is thriving.

As his owner beautifully put it:

“I love doing life with him. I just can’t imagine life without him.”

SNEAK PEEK | BELLA 💙

Bella is an eight-year-old Australian Cattle Dog with a very important job — she is Alicia’s seizure alert dog.

Alicia adopted Bella from the pound when she was three, and she has since become an incredibly special and devoted companion.

For her Brisbane morning portrait session, we captured Bella’s beautiful nature along with the activity she loves most — chasing and catching her ball! Her action shots were full of focus, determination and classic Cattle Dog enthusiasm. 🐾🎾

From pound dog to trusted lifesaver, Bella truly is one remarkable girl.
